Skara Aura is a project by Patrice Elise where she explores more experimental styles within microtonal, electronic, and noise. This release “Intermodular” uses distortion to create new harmonies between the notes. The arrangement, however, follows the stricter Sonata Form from classical music; a way of combining the new and old. She programmed her own synthesizer in MaxForLive to tune the microtonal sound. This instrumental work was influenced by Nine Inch Nails, Portishead, and Björk.
